Join us for an incredible week at the CHRS Broadcasting & Podcasting Camp! This unique program offers students the chance to learn from seasoned industry professionals. Collaborate with peers to create and produce content using professional and vintage recording equipment. Develop your skills in crafting engaging segments tailored to specific audiences and distribution platforms. Dates: June 15 – 19 Time: 9 AM to 3 PM Grades: 6th-10th Location: Radio Central, 2152 Central Ave, Alameda, CA Price: $625 Application Deadline: June 1, 2026 Program Highlights Master professional broadcasting skills applicable both within and beyond the radio and TV industries. Dive into the past by writing and recording a 20th-century-style radio drama, then switch gears to create a modern radio segment. Learn to use both vintage and contemporary recording equipment. Explore the world of modern podcasting. Learn to write, record, distribute, and market your podcast while developing a unique voice in a crowded field. Work as a team to produce a full morning radio show, complete with music and segments. Gain hands-on experience in collaborative production. Discover effective marketing and distribution strategies to grow and engage your audience. Why Attend? About the Instructor Dana Jae is an experienced audio professional and educator with decades of hands-on work in recording, live sound, film, and post-production, and has taught in the Broadcast Electronic Media Arts department at City College of San Francisco since 2001. Her experience includes engineering live events and tours, running recording and post-production studios, and producing audio for music and visual media. She also has taught workshops focusing on both the technical and creative aspects of audio storytelling.
